Do you think bowling is professional?

Majority of people right now, even if I don't know them will say, that bowing isn't a sport. Because people believe that our sport is just throwing a ball down a lane and just hits pins. So far with these posts I have explained about oil patterns and bowling balls which proves that this is a sport but now im going to bring in the pros to talk about this. The Professional Bowlers Associate is the national tour which ventures around the United States for the regular season and all over the world in the off season. These guys go week in and week out bowling over 60 games a week.

WSOB- SPORT

In this video the pros of the PBA talk to you about why this is a sport to them. These guys live, sleep, and breathe bowling everyday while on the tour and also to them its a very cruel sport. Some of you also might get frustrated when you go bowling.

WSOB- Cruelty

This video above has the pros talk about why bowling is the cruelest sports out there. It takes conditioning and hard work to become a great bowling and the pros want to tell you why

So if you guys like what you see in these videos you can check out the PBA at www.pba.com and look for the showtimes for the World Series of Bowling on ESPN on Sundays.

My question to you guys is honestly what is your opinions on bowling about being a sport after you watch these videos and have you had an interest in being a bowler?

The Rave Father

This name can only be given to one great DJ and producer who originated out of Italy. I speak of no other producer then BENNY BENASSI. Benny was the originator of electro and house music. And he is known as the father because he as been doing this since the 1980's. And over the years he has risen to the ranks by currently being the #7 DJ in the world listed by TheDJList.com. His biggest accomplishment was in 2006 where he won a Grammy award for best recorded remix of the song "Bring the Noise" by Public Enemy. He has performed all over the world and is still going strong today.

Bowling's Invisible Defense

In majority or possibly all sports, there is an offense and a defense. But now some of you may ask, well bowling cant have that because your just throwing a ball down the lane and hitting pins, there is nothing really stopping you to score like in basketball and football. This is true that there is no physical person there to keep you from scoring but there is a physical presence that defends the pins so that you cant score that easily, and the most interesting part, its invisible.

Have you ever gone to a bowling alley and you have all seen one person accidentally or purposely run onto the lane and fall on their backside????? That is the invisible defense I am pointing out to you guys. In bowling we call these OIL PATTERNS. It is our invisible defense that dictates where a bowler like me is supposed to play on the lanes in order to score. There are so many oil patterns for bowling ranging from the simple to the extremely hard.

Now the link above will give you a visual of what I am talking about. This is a video from the United States Bowling Congress for their Professional Bowling Association Leagues. These leagues are constructed for local non professional  bowlers to bowl on the same oil patterns that the pros do on a weekly basis. In the video you will see the 3 major styles of bowling bowling on the hardest pattern called THE SHARK. It will explain where each player plays and why.

So I hope after you read and see this video you will believe that bowling is just like any other sport with an offense and defense.

So here is my question to you guys! What was your last experience when you went bowling? Did you know that the lanes had Oil Patterns?

Mau5>C4t

This is going to be the first of many DJ posts i will post for you guys to get into the world of Electro and Techno music, and i decided to start with one of the most well known at this point. And it just so happens that this person is a Mau5!

When i say that i mean no other one then DEADMAU5. Born as Joel Zimmeran his is from Canada and started his career in the 1990's. Most of you would know him, or if you didnt, for his stage mouse head that he wears on stage. Currently in his career he has his famous LED mouse head which makes him a one of a kind DJ. He has been named Beatports top DJ in 2009 for his hit singles "Ghosts n Stuff", "Faxing Berlin", and "Not Exactly". You might also remember him from the 2010 MTV VMA Awards.

Now you might be asking how he got his name? Joel happens to be a very good computer programmer and one day he was going to change his video card in his computer, he found a dead mouse in there. He then talked about it on his local chat rooms and soon people started calling him "the dead mouse guy". Later he took the name but shortened it to Deadmau5

Currently he has released 5 Albums with his current one 4x4=12 and he also has 6 DJ friendly albums. His genre would be mostly house music, electro, and a little bit of dubstep.

Deadmau5 Live at Much

Deadmau5 Ghosts N Stuff

Above i have left you two links. The first one is one of two videos from one of his live shows. If you wanted a better view of his mass shows I would suggest buying DEADMAU5- LIVE AT EARLS COURT dvd which is one of his biggest concerts to date.

The Second one is his biggest hit song Ghosts n Stuff

Bowling woud be nothing without its balls

Hey guys, so this is going to be my first post about bowling and its going to be focused about the most important tool of bowling, the ball. Now most of you will ask, are bowling balls just the same thing, round and heavy???? Well yes in those cases but there are many things about bowling balls that you don't see.

Now the bowling balls that you guys will find in your local bowling center are called House Balls, or to us more frequent bowlers Plastic Balls. These balls are very simple in which they don't have much hook potential when the ball is spun.

Some of you I believe, have once seen someone who is just throwing the ball and it is looking like it will go in the gutter. But then all of a sudden, the ball comes screaming back and getting a strike! You ever wondered why that happens? It is a very complex thing to explain in text or on my blog but........

In this youtube clip I have posted to you, click on it and you will visit a national bowling ball factory for Storm Bowling Products, a very popular bowling ball company.

So here is my questions to you guys. How many times have you gone bowling and do you own your own bowling ball? Also what did you think made a bowling ball hook?
